Candlebark Campground
Set around picturesque Coller Bay on the shores of popular Lake Eildon, the Fraser camping area includes Candlebark, Lakeside and Devil Cove Campgrounds.
Pitch a tent or park your caravan in the shady woodlands of Candlebark Campground. Situated between the Devil Cove and Lakeside Campgrounds, this site is perfect for families or groups. Fees apply, and bookings are required.
It is an excellent base for walking and for non-motorised water-based activities. Launch a canoe, kayak or paddle-board or swim in the sheltered waters of Devil Cove or Coller Bay. Walk along the shores of the lake or up into the surrounding hills on one of several walking trails.
The Fraser camping area can accommodate tents and some caravans and campervans. Boat parking is available within and adjacent to the campgrounds. Sites are unpowered.
There are shared fireplaces throughout the campground, however no fires are permitted on individual campsites and you need to bring your own firewood.

Gap Track & O’Toole Flat closed during bridge construction works
Construction of a replacement bridge on Gap Track over O’Toole Creek began in mid-October and is expected to be finished by mid-December.During this time, the section of Gap Track, between Pinnacle Track and Eildon-Jameson Road, is closed. The O’Toole Flat Camping Area accessed by this section of Gap Track is also closed. There may be periods of time with no workers on-site, while structural concrete is given time to cure. Once works are complete, these areas will re-open.When re-opened, O’Toole Flat continues to be a small camping area designed for self-sufficient visitors only. It is recommended for 4WDs with small camping set-ups. Long vehicles and towing vehicles are not recommended. Structural issues with fireplaces in this camping area led to their removal in late-2025; until fireplaces are replaced, you must not light any solid-fuel fires in this camping area. Please use gas and electric stoves only.We appreciate your cooperation in keeping Lake Eildon National Park, and all our visitors, safe. -
