    Baggs Bridge to Psyche Pumps Track Closure Notice

    Due to inclement weather, the track between Baggs Bridge and Psyche Pumps is closed to all vehicle access.

    Works commence: Thursday, 18 June 2026 and will remain in place until conditions are assessed.

    We appreciate your patience while these necessary works are carried out.

    Boat Ramp Closures

    Boat ramps are currently closed due to low river levels.
    Affected locations:
    • Bruces Bend Boat Ramp
    • Jimba Boat Ramp
    • Red Cliffs Boat Ramp
    Work is underway across various sites to improve access for visitors, park users, and emergency services—helping more people safely enjoy our parks.

    Psyche Pumps Bridge Replacement – Construction Underway

    Psyche Pumps Bridge Replacement – Construction Underway

    DEECA Roads and Bridges is replacing the Psyche Pumps Bridge to improve access for visitors, park users, and emergency services, helping more people enjoy Kings Billabong Park.
    This long-term bridge replacement addresses issues associated with ageing infrastructure and meets current engineering standards.

    Construction details
    • Works commence: Tuesday 5 May 2026
    • Bridge closed: Tuesday 5 May to Friday 17 July 2026 (no vehicle or pedestrian access)

    Access during works
    • Psyche Pumps Campground remains open
    • Access is available via the Bruces Bend entrance from Irymple Avenue or Billabong Road

    Construction Underway- Woorlong Wetland
    Work is underway at various sites to improve access for visitors, park users, and emergency services, helping more people enjoy parks.
    Construction works will include upgrading ageing infrastructure to improve access and deliver beneficial environmental and conservation outcomes.
     
    Construction details
    Works commence: Monday 1 June 2026
     
    Track closed: Monday 1 June 2026 to Friday 31 July 2026 (no vehicle or pedestrian access)
    Closed areas include Link Track and Woorlong Track
     
    Access during works
    Dispersed camping remains accessible up to the “Road Closed” signs upstream of Psyche Bend Road, noting this will be no through road access.

    Access from Red Cliffs Boat Ramp and downstream to the closed area remains accessible.
