Parking fees apply to all carparks and kerbside parking spaces within Albert Park. Time restrictions and ticket requirements are shown on parking signs within the park.
All vehicles in pay-for-parking areas of Albert Park Reserve need to purchase a ticket from one of the parking meter machines in the park. To avoid parking fines, tickets must be displayed prominently on the dashboard.
Parking fees from 1 July 2025
- Weekday hourly rate (8 am to 5 pm): $6.20 per hour
- Weekday evening rates (5 pm to 9 pm): $6.20 flat rate
- Weekday all day rate: $14.70 per day
- Weekend all day rate: $6.20 flat rate
Parking permit fees
Parks Victoria administers a system of parking permits to provide discounted parking for legitimate sports clubs, businesses and tradespeople conducting work within Albert Park. By displaying a valid parking permit, permit holders are exempt from a number of parking restrictions.

The net revenue from parking fees will continue to be reinvested back into Albert Park Reserve services and facilities and the sports and recreation club grant program.

How to apply for tradersperson parking permit

Steps to take
- Log into or create an account via our online form. When you create a new account, you will receive an email to validate your account.
- After logging in, select permit type: Tradesperson permit
- Select the period of permit you require:
- 1 day: $14.70
- 1 week: $28.40
- 2 weeks: $56.80
- 3 weeks: $85.20
- 4 weeks: $113.60
- Nominate the start date of the permit (subject to permit application approval processing).
- Enter vehicle registration. Only 1 registration can be active at a time.
- Review and accept terms and conditions.
- Enter card payment details. Payment will processed when permit application is approved, you will receive an email of approval.
- When approved, your permit will be valid for the date period and vehicle application registration that you entered. For that date period, payment of parking fees for that vehicle is not required.
- Infringement may apply when a permit is not valid and no parking fee is paid.

Our online portal service enables you to:
- view your infringement
- pay your infringement or apply for a payment extension
- request a review, appeal your infringement
- nominate another person responsible
- request court option.
Requests in regard to your infringement must be made via the portal.

Car parking in Albert Park Reserve
When you're there
Apart from the lake itself, other attractions include sporting facilities, ovals, playgrounds, restaurants and a 5km walking and running track. Sporting facilities include a golf driving range, gymnasium and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
