Engaging with us on social media
We value the comments and contributions we receive from our community on social media.
While we encourage people to join the conversation, we will not tolerate disrespectful, offensive, crude, hateful or irrelevant comments, or comments that make another person feel unsafe.
Please keep all comments and discussion respectful and courteous. We may remove or report posts, comments, or links that we consider:
- Abusive, offensive or unlawful content, including harassment, bullying, swearing, or language that is racist, sexist, homophobic, predatory or sexually explicit.
- Potentially defamatory or that breach privacy laws.
- Political content: While we welcome the discussion of policies and initiatives, it is not the place to discuss political parties and personalities. As a public service agency, we're apolitical and unable to respond to political commentary.
- Misleading information or misinformation: Information that is false, unfounded or misleading, whether intentional or not.
- Content that breaches someone else’s copyright or intellectual property.
- Promotional: We do not accept advertisements or requests to endorse commercial products or services or solicit donations.
- Spam or harmful: Copied and pasted, duplicated or off-topic posts. We do not tolerate posts containing links to harmful or suspicious websites or applications.
- Posts that share personal information about Park Victoria staff, customers or stakeholders by sharing personal information, such as names, roles, email addresses or telephone numbers.
We may hide or delete any comments that break these guidelines. If you repeatedly break these guidelines, we may block your account.
To create meaningful and valuable discussions, please stay on topic when commenting on posts on Parks Victoria’s social media accounts.
The views, opinions, and information expressed in user-generated comments remain with the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of Parks Victoria or the Victorian Government.
