Accessibility
Visiting a park can be more of a challenge for people with disabilities, however, in Victoria there are a wide range of facilities to help people of all abilities enjoy our wonderful parks around the state. Parks Victoria provides a range of a equipment, including all-terrain and beach wheelchairs, facilities, accommodation and accessibility information and programs to help you plan and enjoy your visit to Victoria's parks.
Assistance dogs are welcome in Parks Victoria parks and reserves. Entry requirements apply for parks and reserves that are usually dog prohibited, such as national parks.

Notices Affecting Multiple Sites
No Vehicle access to Farley Bend
This section of the River Murray reserve is closed to vehicles due to the poor and unsafe condition of the roads.Alternative camping areas can be found at Fraiser Road, Young Road, Headworks Road, Torrumbarry Weir Road, O'dwyer Road, Pianta Road, Braund Road.In the interest of visitor safety, this area is closed until further notice.Gunbower National Park and Murray River Reserve access changes
Recent rainfall and a high river event has resulted in some natural flooding inflows impacting Gunbower National Park and the Murray River Reserve on Gunbower Island.Access to some areas may be restricted and 4WD vehicles are recommended due to slippery access roads. Please do not drive through flood water or around road closures.Some track closures within Gunbower State Forest may be implemented for safety reasons - please check the DEECA public access map for details.
River Murray Reserve
There are areas within River Murray Reserve that have been impacted by heavy rainfall. This has impacted access to some areas of the park for recreation and may restrict vehicle access due to low lying flood waters.The following areas within River Murray Reserve in the Echuca area have been impacted by the rainfall event:- Pianta Bend- Farley Bend- the entry to Farley bend is not accessible by vehicle- Betha Bend- Baillieu Bend- Turner BendPlease take care when accessing these park areas, as the main access tracks can be heavily flooded and are not accessible by vehicle.Do not drive through flood waterNo Drinking Water Available Beyond Quarantine Station
There is no drinking water available beyond the Quarantine Station. Visitors are advised to carry water with them when visiting other areas of the park such as Fort Nepean. -
Notices Affecting Multiple Parks
Murray River Adventure Trail
Stage One of the Murray River Adventure Trail proposes new canoe and kayak launches, pedestrian links and new facilities at key visitor sites from Barmah National Park to Koondrook. Stage One will pass through Echuca, Murray River Reserve, Gunbower National Park and Lower Goulburn National Park. Find out more about the project.
