We have been advised that members of the Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU), Australian Workers’ Union (AWU) and Australian Services Union (ASU) intend to take further protected industrial action from Friday 29 May 2026. 

This action is expected to include ongoing bans on routine tasks such as rubbish collection, and the cleaning of facilities and fireplaces. 

We respect our employees’ right to participate in lawful industrial action. However, these bans may impact other staff, visitors, and our service delivery across parks and reserves. 

We are implementing measures to minimise impacts and ensure parks and reserves remain open and accessible with no impacts on community safety.
